Sarabah Sessions
Sarabah House is a rural property of 65 acres located in the Scenic Rim. The residence is an old queenslander situated on a working cattle farm. The facilities include a pool, tennis court, sauna and a fire pit.
Our Sarabah Sessions retreat is an annual songwriting weekend for our graduating students. Each year students apply for a limited number of places to be accepted into the program. Once students are selected they are paired with a professional songwriter who will mentor them for a term to help them prepare a song to be recorded at Sarabah House.
The aim of the three day songwriting retreat is to record the song students have worked on in makeshift studios in the home. Each student has 3 hours to record the song.
Previous and current mentors include Aaron Shanahan, Tom Eggert, Sahara Beck, Asha Jefferies, Rohan Jones, Robbie Miller, Kellie Lloyd & Marcus Wiley.
The songs created at Sarabah are released at the end of the retreat as an album on Soundcloud. Tracks are produced by Tom Eggert, Aaron Shanahan and Asha Jefferies.
